The Lincoln County Treasurer is elected for a four-year term at each general election. The Treasurer keeps account of: Lincoln County monies received and disbursed, checks drawn and paid, and all records pertaining to the Treasurer’s Office. The Treasurer prepares and collects real and personal property taxes for Lincoln County Property owners. Property taxes are collected not only for County government but for the municipalities, school districts, the State of New Mexico, and other taxing entities within Lincoln County.
Due Dates
1st half of 2022 property taxes are due November 10, 2022, and delinquent after December 10, 2022; 2nd half of 2022 taxes are due April 10, 2023; delinquent after May 10, 2023
Send Payment Correctly
Please write your tax bill number or owner number on your check or money order. The Treasurer’s Office will not accept any check, money order, or cashier check that is written incorrectly, unsigned, or postdated. All such payments will be returned.
Escrowed Payments
If your tax payments are escrowed through a mortgage company, it is your responsibility as a property owner to forward this bill for payment.
New Mexico is a self-rendering state; PROPERTY TAXES ARE THE PERSONAL OBLIGATION OF THE PERSON OWNING THE PROPERTY. It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to pay taxes even if they did not receive a tax bill.
